The collection constitutes a veritable cultural incursion in different times and places, featuring works of visual art – 100 paintings signed by Theodor Pallady, Lucian Grigorescu, Alexandru Ciucurencu, Dimitrie Ghiaţă, Gheorghe Petraşcu, Ion Andreescu, Jean Al. Steriadi, Iosif Iser, Nicolae Tonitza, Ion Ţuculescu, Marcel Iancu and M.H. Maxy, as well as 211 pieces of decorative art – made of glass, porcelain, metal, and including furniture (from France, Spain, Portugal, China, Afghanistan and Romania), textile items from various time periods and cultural spheres (including a Turkish and Romanian carpets collection). The museum’s patrimony includes 145 works signed by Ligia Macovei, as well as an imposing library, containing 11 000 tomes, out of which 1201 are books on art.
