The summer-school project “History’s Summer on Victoriei Street”, which took place during the summer-holiday at the Filipescu-Cesianu House, during July, August and September, was attended by nearly 400 people.
For eight weeks, from Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 12:00, the garden of the Filipescu-Cesianu House and the Lapidrium Room, hosted various educational activities in a friendly and unique environment.
Wednesdays were dedicated to hand-made paper workshops, coordinated by Atelier Papelier (recommended age: 6 – 12), Thursdays introduced the attendees to the history of Bucharest thanks to the activities organized by the History of Art Association (recommended age: 6 – 10), and on Fridays the members of Rediscover History Association organized their “Living History Classes” (recommended age: 7 – 12).
On Saturdays, the “Comic Strips Salon – Tales of Bucharest”, organized in the Lapidarium Room of the Filipescu-Cesianu House until August 30th 2016, inspired the attendees to illustrate the city’s history during comic-strips workshops (recommended age: 7 – 12).
More than that, the experts at the “Admiral Vasile Urseanu” Astronomical Observatory introduced children to some of the mysteries of our solar system (recommended age: 7 – 12).
