The Museum’s Caravan debuted on Wednesday, July 13th 2016, at eight museums and memorial houses in Bucharest, inviting children aged 6 to 10 years old to take part in educational workshops during the summer holiday. The Suțu Palace, the Theodor Aman Museum, the Lligia and Pompiliu Macovei Collection, the Frederick Storck and Cecilia Cuțescu-Storck Museum, the Gheorghe Tattarescu Memorial House, the Victor Babeș Museum, Dr. George Severeanu Museum as well as a surprize-museum, will open their gates to welcome children into a living and attractive learning space.
The purpose of the project was to acquaint children with the patrimony of the Bucharet’s museums through an approach based on explanations, dialogue, direct observation and practical exercises. The public in Bucharest appreciated this coherent educational offer and the workshops had about 270 attendees.
