“5 High-schools, 5 Museums” is an educational programme initiated by ECDL ROMANIA, dedicated to high-school students and wishing to encourage teenagers to take part in cultural events.
The project took place from February to June 2017, and got involved 250 pupils from 5 high-schools in Bucharest: the Central School, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” Theoretical High-school, “Dimitrie Bolintineanu” Theoretical High-school, “Elena Cuza” National College and “Ion Creangă” National College.
The 5 museums involved in this year’s edition, which challenged high-schoolers at an on-line general knowledge competition are: The “Engr. Dumitru Furnică – Minovic” Museum of Old Western Art, The Bucharest Municipality Museum, „Grigore Antipa” National Museum of Natural History, „Dimitrie Gusti” National Village Museum and „King Ferdinand I” National Military Museum.
Organizers: ECDL ROMANIA together with the Bucharest Municipality Museum and the School Inspectorate of Bucharest.
The teenagers were encouraged to create a social page and keep it as active as possible by promoting among their fellow colleagues, teachers and friends the activities that they were part in, thus inspiring them to start visiting museums as well. The students at “George Coșbuc” National College won the first prize.
