Created by Artelier D Association and the Bucharest Municipality Museum inside the Nicolae Minoici Museum, the creative program of cultural education, THE DIVAN WITH STORIES, offers a cultural trip inside the universe of products and textile materials found in the patrimony of the “Dr. Nicolae Minovici” Museum of Folk Art. The events will take place evey Saturday from the 10th to the 17th of November, starting at 11:00.
“We will explore wool, hempen and linen in a sensory and creative way; we will discover the meanings of the word <<divan>> and the customs emerged around it; we will debate proverbs and sayings and will tell riddles about clothing and textile plants. Then we will take part in the puppet-show theatre <<Dănilă on the divan>>, based on a story written by Ion Creangă and Ion Istrati, about the themes of folly and creativity, diligence and laziness” said the organizers.
The activities are organized in three parts: a treasure hunt, a theatre show and a textile creations workshop.
The program is aimed at both families and organized groups, being recommended for 3 to 10 year olds.
Fee: 10 lei.
The children may take part only accompanied by an adult.
