THE SUMMER OF HISTORY ON VICTORIEI STREET – A SUMMER SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN AT THE FILIPESCU-CESIANU HOUSE

Children were expected at the third edition of the summer school organized by the Bucharest Muncipality Museum. The activities took place at the Filipescu-Cesianu House, from July 5th to August 26th 2017.

Taking place in an open space, friendly and unique, the educational activities of varied themes lasted for eight weeks, Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00 to 12:00, in the garden of the Flipescu-Cesianu House. The workshops were designed for children aged 6 to 12 years old.

Wednesdays were dedicated to hand-made paper workshops coordinated by Atelier Papelier (recommended age: 6 – 12), the „Classes of living history” took place every Thursday under the guidance of Rediscover History Association (reccomended age: 7 – 12), and on Fridays children discovered the permanent exhibitions hosted by the Filipescu-Cesianu House: „The Museum of Ages” and „Close to the Saints: the Frescoes of Văcărești Monastery” (reccomended age: 6 – 12).

Saturdays were dedicated to comic strips workshops organized as part of the „Comic Strips Salon – Tales of Bucharest in Comic Strips” (recommended age: 6 – 12).
