The science and technology collection of the Bucharest Municipality Museum contains 2 136 items, which are rarely used nowadays, such as musical instruments, disks of ebonite (hard rubber), metal and paper, measuring devices, printing press letters and decorations, lighting devices, irons, pocket watches, clocks, wristwatches, photo cameras, tools and gadgets.
Most of the items within the collection come from England, Austria, France, Italy and Romania, and a few of them are of Oriental make. Some of the collection pieces have a special background, such as the ones marked with the Romanian Principalities insignia.
