The photography collection contains 63 500 items, out of which approximately 46 500 are photographs, 6 000 are postcards and about 11 000 are captures on glass and celluloid.

The photographs are of different dimensions, from 6/9 cm up to 100/120 cm, illustrating Bucharest during the 19th and 20th century, as well as portraits of figures from the time, family photographs, house and store interiors, markets, squares, testimonies of important historical events etc.

The most significant lot is represented by the 18/24 cm series, with images of interwar Bucharest, taken by photographers Alfons Ebner, Alex. Petot, J. Berman etc.

The collection also includes valuable photographs, produced by artists such as Ludwig Angerer, Carol Popp de Szathmary, Franz Mandy and Franz Duschek.
