How do children see the Suțu Palace?

The exhibition the Painted Castle – June 1st, the Bucharest Municipality Museum.

One the International Day of Children, the Bucharest Municipality Museum – the Suțu Palace, opens an exhibition of drawings created by children… for children and adults.

“The Painted Castel” can be visited starting with June 1st and displays drawings of the Suțu Palace, as seen by children, created during the urban history workshops organized by the History of Art Association at the Bucharest Municipality Museum on Museum’s Night 2015. The workshops took place on May 16th in the Suțu Palace greenhouse and were attened by more than 60 children. The theme of the workshop was the story of the Suțu Palace, coordinated by historian Alina Havreliuc, architect Costin Gheroghe an art historian Oana Marinache. The drawings boards were prepared by graphic artist Cristian Gache.

The pictures created during the workshops reveal more versions of a symbolic building of Bucharest and represent a journey in the imagination of children and their perception of our institution. We welcome you to discover them!
