Excerpt | The aim of this paper is to discuss the assemblage of artifacts made of osseous materials which are part of the collections of the Bucharest Municipality Museum. For these artifacts, we can assume a Neo-Eneolithic chronological age but the data on the archaeological site of origin was lost. An assemblage of 38 pieces was analyzed of which 26 are made of bone, 5 of antler, 6 of valve and 1 of tooth. These are generally finished pieces, illustrating a selection of archaeological material. Operational sequences of raw material transformation and the analysis of the use-wear and technological traces led us to try to reconstruct a behavioral model of the way raw material was acquired, processing techniques and activities developed with them. |
